Ferrari describes their new 812 Competizione as "the ultimate expression of Ferrari’s concept of an extreme front-engined berlinetta and hones the characteristics of the critically-acclaimed 812 Superfast to a level never seen before." I would describe it as simply astonishing.
The 812 Competizione features Ferrari's flawless V12 that is now capable of screaming up to an amazing 9,500 rmp. As every car nerd knows, nothing sounds like a Ferrari V12. Allowing this engines to reach an extremely high level of rpm can only make us enthusiasts smile. The power figure Ferrari claims is 819hp (could be less, could be more when it comes to Ferrari.) This is a substantial increase from the Superfast's 789hp.
The 812 Competizione's top speed is listed at " >340km/h." The stat on this car that really surprises me is the 0-100km/h time of just 2.85 seconds. Nothing screams GT car like acceleration that quickly.
With a lap time of 1:20.00 around Ferrari's Fiorano test track, the Competizione sits behind only the LaFerrari and the SF90 Stradale respectively.
Ferrari also unveiled a hard top convertible option deemed the Competizione A.
Generally this is where I would write abut the aesthetics of a vehicle, unfortunately, I have no words to describe the utter beauty of this car. I mean... just look at it!
