The Eye Catching Genesis X Concept

Take a look at the amazing Genesis X Concept. We don’t expect this car to go to production any time soon but styling is sure to be past on to upcoming Genesis models.

The car is undeniably Genesis as it stays true to the twin hash line design we have come to get used to from Genesis. At the front, the car greats you with an exceptionally large grille in the shape of what Genesis says is their logo.

Oddly, the twin hash lights continue past the wheel and on to the fender. Personally this feature looks extremely out of place and awkward. As I have chatted with other enthusiast about this car, they have made there same remarks regarding these fender lights.

The wheels are something spectacular on their own. Although from a far they seem simple and possibly lame, when up close one can see that the spokes have air inlets going all the way through them. For the first time, these Genesis wheels also feature a beautifully designed centre lock wheel system with the Genesis signature lattice work surrounding the Genesis wings.

As you head towards the rear, your eyes are drawn to the extremely fat and aggressive rear wheel arches. These arches give the car a sporty and hostile look. To me this is the most important feature of the car and the one that creatures harmony within the design.

From the rear, the car is simple yet elegant. The X Concept features a big rear fascia that beholds hash style rear lights. The Genesis name is also largely written across the back to make sure no one mistakes this beautiful beast for anything else.

Genesis is making an interesting statement by releasing a coupe style concept. As many companies look towards cross overs and SUV’s, Genesis is looking too tug at the emotion of their drivers. As a car enthusiast myself, I am all in for this approach.

Altogether, this is has some beautiful features and the overall styling is pleasant. It will be interesting to see what features make it out to production on future vehicles released by the brand. Genesis is pushing hard to make a name for them selves within the sports luxury market and I believe a coupe like the Genesis X Concept would help them make the large inroads they desire.
